How can I help?
There are many ways you can contribute to the efforts of PAWS. We
outline below some areas we need help with right now. If you can
help, please do so. A new "Basic Training" class for operational
volunteers will take place in the near future. We normally train
10-12 people. If you'd like to join this elite group of volunteers,
call the PAWS line today at (706) 310-0663!

Operations Volunteers
As a volunteer organization, we need a handful of very dependable
and conscious volunteers who can help us transport dogs and cats
to and from the veterinarians for spay-neuter surgeries. This means
early morning drop offs and afternoon pickups of varying frequencies.
We work with one clinic twice a week. Some clinics are once a month.
Volunteer must have valid driver's license and be very dependable.
We also need volunteers to set and monitor traps. All volunteers
selected for this important work receive special training and a
40-page information binder. You will be representing this organization
with some of the most important people in Athens to us - the veterinarians
who support our work! If you have the qualifications and time to
devote, please contact us at (706) 310-0663.
Data Entry Volunteers
We need help entering our data into the computer so we can keep
our records straight! If you have a computer, Internet access, and
are savvy about data entry, we could certainly use some help. The
good news is that you can set your hours!
Fundraising Volunteers
We need creative, energetic and highly motivated people who enjoy
event planning! Whether you want to be an event coordinator and
run the whole show or just help with a particular area, we can use
your help. If you have a great idea for a fundraiser or want to
help, contact our Director of Fundraising Roberta
Howes.
